Libraries and businesses around the world partner with PressReader to sponsor access to the PressReader catalog for their patrons and customers. We call these sponsored access points “HotSpots.” The content available via a HotSpot may differ from the catalog our direct subscribers can access.
Follow these steps to find free PressReader HotSpots:
- Open the PressReader HotSpot map in your browser. Your current location will be indicated with a flashing blue beacon and you will see a selection of color-coded HotSpots in your area:

- Green HotSpot: Full sponsored access to all visitors.
- Yellow HotSpot: Sponsored access requires login credentials (e.g. library login).
- Grey HotSpot: Sponsored access is temporarily unavailable.

- Click on a HotSpot to see the name, address and a description of the sponsoring business as well as its distance from your current location and a link to more HotSpots in that region.
- Click on the distance listed to open directions in your device’s default GPS app (e.g., Google Maps or Apple Maps).
- Once you arrive at a HotSpot location, connect to the WiFi and open the PressReader app or visit www.pressreader.com.
- In the popup window, confirm that you wish to access PressReader via this HotSpot.
Some HotSpots allow you to access the catalog remotely and others allow you to continue reading content on PressReader for a select period (e.g., seven days) after you leave the HotSpot location.
Note that any time you access PressReader while not connected to WiFi, you will be using your mobile data.
