This accessibility statement applies to the PressReader website and mobile applications.
PressReader is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for persons with disabilities. We aim to continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards in line with the EU Web Accessibility Directive, the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 and national transposition laws to meet our legal and ethical responsibilities.
PressReader offers an Accessibility Mode that is fully compliant with Level AA of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). This mode is designed to provide an inclusive reading experience for users with disabilities.
The broader PressReader platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This means that while many accessibility features are in place, some aspects of the platform are still being enhanced to better support a consistent and inclusive user experience.
We are actively working to enhance accessibility across all areas of our service and to ensure full compliance with the requirements of the European accessibility regime.
In order to support accessibility, we proactively make efforts to integrate accessibility into our internal development processes. We also focus on regularly performing accessibility testing, including third-party audits. We encourage our users and partners to identify any issues that may create accessibilities barriers in their access to content on our website.
We note that an integral part of our services involves third-party content, which may have accessibility limitations. Some materials provided by publishers, such as articles in XML format with embedded images, tables, or custom heading structures, may not fully conform to accessibility standards. While we strive to present this content in an accessible way, we do not have control over the structure, markup, or formatting of externally sourced materials. We continue to work with our content partners to encourage accessible practices and improve how such content is displayed on our platforms.
We are actively addressing any outstanding issues and welcome feedback to help us improve.
